Year of Establishment

The Department of JMC was established in 2013.

Vision

To be a premier centre for excellence in journalism and masscommunication education, research, and innovation, committed to nurturingethically grounded, critically engaged, and socially responsible mediaprofessionals who contribute to an inclusive and informed global society.

Mission

To provide industry-relevant and ethically grounded media education thatblends theoretical knowledge with practical skills, fosters critical thinkingand inclusivity, promotes interdisciplinary research rooted in Indianknowledge systems, and prepares students to lead in journalism, digitalmedia, and communication for social change.
