About the Department

Department of Biotechnology was established in year 2020 under faculty of science.

Vision

The “VISION” of the department is to achieve excellence in education, Science, research and innovation that grooms learners into becoming productive, responsible, ethical, creative and compassionate members of the society.

Mission

The “MISSON” is holistic and research aptitude development by integrating technologies and initiating industrial and global engagement. The department also seeks increased sustainability and continuous improvement of students by implementing different resources.

Facilities

The Department of Biotechnology is equipped with essential infrastructure to support its academic activities. At present, the department has one dedicated classroom for conducting regular lectures, one developing laboratory that is being gradually upgraded to enhance practical and research-based learning, and one faculty room to facilitate academic discussions, mentoring, and administrative coordination. These facilities collectively provide a valuable environment for both teaching and learning.

Student activities and clubs

The department conducts a wide range of activities to ensure the holistic development of students. Under the Mentor-Mentee Program, students receive personalized guidance, while remedial classes and counseling sessions provide special academic support to weaker students. To promote research orientation, students are engaged in dissertation work at various institutions. In addition, the department organizes different competitions and cultural Activities to encourage creativity, teamwork, and competitive spirit among students.

Placement/ student upgradation highlights

Our students are pursuing higher studies in diverse courses and institutions after successfully completing their B.Sc. Biotechnology program. These include Integral University, Lucknow, Era University, Lucknow, SGPGI, Lucknow, Amity University, Noida, and Jamia Hamdard University, Delhi.

Achievements

Since its establishment in 2020, the Department of Biotechnology has witnessed continuous growth and progress. The steady increase in the number of students enrolled each year reflects the rising interest and trust in the program. To meet the growing demand, the department has been expanding its classes and strengthening its academic framework. Additionally, the department is in the process of developing a dedicated laboratory, which will further enhance practical learning and research opportunities for students in the coming years.

Till date three batches of student have successfully completed BSc. Biotechnology course. In recognition of their exemplary performance, the top ranked students from each batch were awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
