About the Department

Year of Establishment

The department of economics was established in 2013, in which the undergraduate course was run on the CBCS system. Many successful batches have passed out from the department. Postgraduate course is also run from 2021-22. Presently department adopted NEP-2020 and launched the UG and PG courses according to NEP 2020.

Vision

The primary vision of the department of economics is to provide high quality education in economics. The vision of our department is to provide, through both teaching and research, better understanding of the national and local economic issues that will confront our society present and future. Providing quality instruction of students to prepare them for successful career. Maintain collegiate work environment and along with this uphold high standards of academic performance too. Our vision is to prepare our students for critical thinking and independent analysis to live their lives responsibly.
