Vision of the Department
The Department of Biotechnology Engineering established in 2019.The department aspires to attain a leading role in Bio-Technology serve as a valuable resource for industry, restoration of environment, and associated with newly emerging diseases by improved diagnostics, drugs and vaccines for society. We believe in learning by doing strategy and try to improve the holistic development of Students.
Mission of the Department
- M-1: To encourage students to learn, practice, and develop Bio-Technological Tools and Techniques.
- M-2: To develop assays for diagnostics and preventative measures for Life sciences, Pharmaceutical, Environmental, and Food industries using new approaches.
- M-3: To develop the socio-economic status of students through fruitful academic programs and entrepreneurship.

- Genetics & Molecular Biology Lab: Equipped for advanced studies in gene structure, function, and molecular mechanisms, this lab facilitates experiments in DNA/RNA analysis, PCR, gene cloning, and other molecular biology techniques.
- Biochemistry Lab: Focused on the chemical processes of living organisms, this lab supports studies in protein, enzyme, and metabolite analysis, providing hands-on experience in biochemical assays and analytical techniques.
- Microbiology & Immunology Lab: Dedicated to studying microorganisms and immune responses, this lab enables research in microbial culture, identification, pathogen detection, and immunological assays.
- Enzyme & Food Biotechnology Lab: Specializes in enzyme applications and food biotechnology, allowing experimentation in enzyme kinetics, fermentation, food analysis, and biotechnological innovations for food processing.
- The Seminar and Research Lab of Biotechnology: is designed to facilitate both advanced research and academic discourse. It provides a collaborative environment where students and researchers can engage in cutting-edge experiments in molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, and biochemistry.
