Dr. Ajay Taneja has more than 33 years of teaching and research experience and has served the Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University in many administrative positions like Pro Vice Chancellor for more than three years, Head of the department for three terms, Dean Science, Dean Research, Director IQAC, Director College Development Council (CDC).
His research interest is in Environmental Chemistry and Air pollution. He has guided more than 19 Ph.D. and 29 M. Phil students and have carried out many projects sponsored by DST, UGC, CSIR and State government. He has co-authored more than 170 research articles, 5 books, 14 book chapters and 5 research reports and has more than 6000 citations to his credit. He is a life member/Fellow of many professional bodies and has held the post of Joint Secretary, Indian Council of Chemists India from 2006 to 2024. He is also a reviewer of many International Journals. He was also awarded Father Rev. T. A. Mathias “National Award for Innovative College Teachers for the year 2001 by the All India Association for Christian Higher Education and the Prof Lallan Singh Award for Best PG Chemistry Teacher (State Universities) for 2021 by the Association of Chemistry Teachers (Homi Bhabha Centre of Science Education, TIFR, Mumbai). He is a LEAP (Leadership for Academicians Programme) FELLOW (March 2020)
