The higher education sector is undergoing rapid transformation. There is a greater emphasis on interactive learning and inter-disciplinary courses which requires regular updating of the learning modules to bridge the gap between academia and industry. This makes the role of higher education institutions even more significant.

Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University, Lucknow is working earnestly towards the service of mankind and providing quality education accessible to all. In keeping with the words of renowned Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer, “A man of knowledge is like a brilliant Sun who spreads his brilliance all over the world”, this University has been delivering quality education and inculcating the students with strong ethical and moral values.

In the past one and a half years, the University has seen considerable progress both in the area of academics and infrastructure. All undergraduate courses of the University follow the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) which enables the students to engage in interdisciplinary learning thereby enhancing their scope of knowledge and job opportunities. The University curriculum inculcates industrial values and is updated regularly to keep the students abreast with the contemporary scenario. The University also received financial grants under RUSA which has been utilized to build language labs, media labs, e- classrooms and practical labs under different Departments. The new infrastructural developments intend to adept the students with practical skills along with theoretical learning. The well-qualified and experienced faculty members of the University use innovative pedagogy to constantly engage the students in active learning. The University also intends to start a course in Sanskrit in the next academic session which will help in promotion and revival of this languishing language.

With research and innovation as its core ideals, the University has entered into memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Abbersweyth University (UK), Sultan Sharif University Ali University (Brunei) and AL Mustafa International University (Iran). These collaborations are aimed at promoting International research collaborations and facilitating student exchange. Regular industry visits and internships are also carried out to help the students brush up their industry skills. Special training sessions are also held in the campus to harness entrepreneurial skills of the students.

As the Vice Chancellor of the University, I am committed towards making this University one of the best in the country. In order to achieve this goal, I would fully utilize my energies, experience and potentials. The present courses being offered by the University have received massive responses from the students. We also intend to expand the spheres of academic learning by introducing new disciplines in the area of engineering and law in the next academic session. I firmly hope that the students joining this University will find themselves in an academic environment that promotes holistic growth and learning and they will find new opportunities to unravel their full potential. I hope their journey of learning is fruitful and wish for their success in career and life.
